Grow ECD is genuinely good. Over 4,500 centres use Grow Giraffe. It is free, NGO-backed, built for low-data environments, and strong on learner assessments, practitioner training integration, and centre registration readiness. If your centre's main need is developmental tracking and programme quality support, use it — and we mean that.

The honest decision rule
- Choose Grow Giraffe if: you want a free tool focused on child development, assessments, and training pathways, and your fee collection is already under control.
- Choose Zande if: your collection rate is stuck below 80%, you chase parents on WhatsApp by hand every month, or you are losing subsidy money to register problems. Zande costs money because it is built to recover more than it costs — one recovered R370 fee covers the Pro plan.
- Some centres run both. Grow for development programmes, Zande for the money. They do not conflict.
